Atlas Copco Compressors Honors Employees at NASCAR Race Weekend
Atlas Copco Compressors honored employee contributions at the Oct. 10–12, 2013 NASCAR race weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. To thank past and present employees during Atlas Copco’s year-long 140th anniversary celebration, employee Mark Kiser had his name, along with the Atlas Copco logo, printed on Ryan Newman’s No. 39 Quicken Loans Chevrolet Impala. Kiser also received garage credentials and suite tickets to the Sprint Cup Series race on Oct. 12, in which Newman finished in the top ten. Kiser also had the opportunity to meet Ryan Newman before the race.
"Putting an employee’s name on this race car was a great way for us to acknowledge how important our people are to our success," said John Brookshire, president, Atlas Copco Compressors LLC. "We enjoyed serving as an associate sponsor of Newman’s No. 39 Quicken Loans Chevrolet, which allowed us to honor our employees in this exciting way."
Kiser was chosen from a pool of more than 130 employee entries collected online from May 1 through Aug. 31. He currently works as an Atlas Copco sales manager in California.
"I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to go behind the scenes to see firsthand everything that goes into a successful race," said Kiser. "Everyone at Stewart-Haas Racing was so gracious and meeting Ryan and the other members of his team reminded me that I, too, have a great team to help me ‘win the race.’"
