Bauma 2013: A Great Success for Wacker Neuson

With around 530,000 visitors from 200 countries, the 2013 Bauma has broken the previous visitor records. Wacker Neuson is also very pleased with the result of the trade fair. "The 2013 Bauma was a great success for us. Already during the first days the congestion at our stand was overwhelming," says Cem Peksaglam, CEO of Wacker Neuson SE. "The atmosphere at Bauma was excellent and gives us an optimistic view of the coming months. This year’s trade fair confirms that Bauma is the leading trade fair for our industry." During the course of the Bauma week, Wacker Neuson was able to greet customers from all over the world. Many new contacts were created at the fair and existing relationships were intensified.

A unique guest visited the trade fair stand already on the first day: during his opening visit to the trade fair, Federal Minister Dr. Peter Ramsauer was informed about Wacker Neuson’s innovations. At the helm of the excavator 50Z3, the Federal Minister for Transport, Building and Urban Affairs was able to experience the qualities of the Vertical Digging System (VDS) – one of Wacker Neuson’s unique selling points. On his round he was accompanied by the Indonesian Minister for Public Works, Djoko Kirmanto. This year Indonesia was Bauma’s partner country.

"The subject of environmental protection is of increasing importance, which manifested itself quite clearly at this Bauma," Cem Peksaglam reports. "Of particular interest to professional visitors were our market innovations: the ‘dual power’ alternative drive for mini-excavators which enables emission-free operation as well as our rammers and breakers with their low-emission, two-cycle engines." In addition to the Group's participation in the VDMA initiative Blue Competence, Wacker Neuson gives distinction to particularly efficient and ecological products with the new ECO seal – ECO for ECOlogy and ECOnomy.

Wacker Neuson is also involved in the VDMA initiative Think Big and supported the "Werkstatt live" (live workshop) activity in hall B0. Here trainees of the Wacker Neuson Group worked on devices and equipment and informed students how they found their way to their profession and what excites them about working with construction equipment.

In 2013, much attention was put on live product demonstrations. Brought to life at Bauma 2013, the Wacker Neuson Club was well-received and welcomed many new members.
