Staff has posted Mail-Out 13-15, which clarifies requirements for the manufacturer delay extension and how compliance is determined when the fleet owner orders equipment four months prior to the compliance deadline.

Advisory on the Recall of the LongMile Diesel Particulate Matter Filter System (October 25, 2012)
MSC Mail-Out 12-20 provides information on the voluntary recall of Cleaire Advanced Emission Controls, Inc. (Cleaire) LongMile diesel particulate matter (PM) filter system. This recall will not impact or otherwise affect the ability of fleets to retain early compliance credits that may have been accrued with the installation of the original LongMile system.

MSC Mail-Out 12-21 informs the crane operators on the delay of particulate matter (PM) filter requirements for certain types of cranes for one year (calendar year 2013).
Three Day Pass Form (June 29, 2012)
The Three Day Pass Exemption Form is now available for download. A Three Day Pass is a temporary permit that allows a fleet owner to operate one vehicle per calendar year in California that does not meet the emission reduction requirements of the Truck and Bus regulation.
Reporting Status Certificate (April 20, 2012)
Fleet owners now have the ability to log in to their online accounts to print a certificate that confirms the owner has reported complete information to the ARB. In addition, staff has posted an online search feature that allows anyone to look up the company name of fleets that have reported to comply with the regulation. Brokers and motor carriers can use the search feature to confirm whether the truck owners they hire have reported to the ARB. This fleet information will be updated weekly.
Spanish and Punjabi Information Updated (March 22, 2012)
Several factsheets and frequently asked questions about the Truck and Bus regulation have been translated into Spanish and Punjabi. In addition, the "How to Report in 2012 Summary" has been translated to Spanish, including the printable reporting forms.
Fleet Calculator Update (January 31, 2012)
An updated version of the Fleet Calculator has been posted. The Fleet Calculator is an Excel spreadsheet to assist fleet owners in evaluating various compliance strategies to comply with the Truck and Bus regulation. This update (version C) now includes a compliance option for log trucks, and corrects the alternative fueled vehicle credit calculation. No other significant changes were made.
Advisory on the Extension of the January 31, 2012 Reporting Deadline to March 30, 2012 (January 23, 2012)
MSC Mail-Out 12-02 extends the Truck and Bus regulation reporting deadline of January 31, 2012 to March 30, 2012 to give fleet owners more time to submit their fleet information. Reporting is required for fleet owners to take advantage of flexibility in the regulation. This change does not extend the compliance requirements that began January 1, 2012.
Fleet Upload Option Added (January 13, 2012)
A feature has been added to the Truck and Bus reporting system that fleet owners can use to upload their fleet information from an Excel spreadsheet.
The Office of Administrative Law Approved the Amendments to the Regulation (December 15, 2011)
On Wednesday, December 14, 2011, the Office of Administrative Law approved the amendments to the Truck and Bus Regulation. The amendments are effective immediately, with the first compliance date being January 1, 2012.
The Truck and Bus Reporting System Is Available (December 12, 2011)
The Truck and Bus regulation reporting system is now available for fleet owners to report diesel vehicle information at no cost. From this site, you can report your company and vehicle information. We encourage fleets to report early, before the January 31 reporting deadline. If you have previously reported, you can access to your account by using your user name and password.
