Multiquip Supports Hurricane Sandy Victims

Multiquip, a diverse manufacturer and supplier of world class quality products and solutions, presented the Greater Long Beach Chapter of The American Red Cross with a donation on Wednesday, November 21, to help support those in the Northeast affected by Superstorm Sandy. "Everyone at Multiquip was deeply saddened by the devastation Sandy caused and wanted to assist those affected," said Tom Yasuda, Chief Executive Officer at Multiquip. "Our employees suggested a drive to collect donations. The company decided to make a matching contribution."

Multiquip employees raised more than $30,000 through their drive, spearheaded by the Human Resources Department. Combined with Multiquip’s matching, a total of $64,708.04 was raised through the company’s fundraising efforts, making this the largest donation in history to the Greater Long Beach Chapter of the American Red Cross.

"We are very grateful for the support of Multiquip and the generosity of their employees", said Margaret Arbini Madonna, CEO of the Greater Long Beach/Rio Hondo Chapter of the American Red Cross. "With this donation we are able to feed and shelter victims of Hurricane Sandy."
