Kubota Approves Use of B20 Biodiesel Fuels in Selected Kubota Diesel Products

"Kubota has now approved the use of B20 biodiesel fuels to offer customers the flexibility to select fuels that are available and appropriate for the application of Kubota models approved for B20 biodiesel fuel," says Dr. Satoshi Iida, president, Kubota Tractor Corporation. "Kubota believes strongly in the efficiency and high performance of our Kubota diesel engines and we are pleased to add the approval for B20 biodiesel fuels as a further commitment to environmentally sound practices."
Kubota approves the use of B20 biodiesel fuel as a blend component that meets the minimum requirements provided by the American Society of Testing and Materials, Standard ASTM D6751-09b, or most current published standard, specifications. The petroleum diesel fuel base must meet ASTM D975 specification. To ensure fuel quality, biodiesel fuels and blended fuel should be purchased from a BQ-9000 accredited producer or certified marketer.
Kubota strongly recommends compliance with appropriate safe handling, storage, operating and maintenance procedures for use of diesel and biodiesel fuels to ensure quality.
