Doosan Portable Power Expands 185 cfm Air Compressor Series

Road-building contractors throughout Latin America have new, reliable power-providing partners in the form of two Doosan 185 cfm portable air compressors — the new P185 and recently redesigned C185, used to power handheld air tools, chippers and breakers. "Road-building contractors in Latin America face vastly different environmental conditions from one job to the next — where one job may be performed at sea level, the next may be performed at 3,000 meters above sea level — so they need engine power that can meet the needs of both jobs reliably and efficiently," says Rus Warner, manager, global air products, Doosan Portable Power. "Designed for reliability and versatility, these machines can get the job done in rugged, remote conditions at a range of elevations, day after day."

Powered by a 65-horsepower turbocharged Kubota engine, the P185 and C185 deliver 185 cfm at 100 psi for optimum productivity. Designed to survive at high altitudes, the P185 and C185 provide industry-leading performance and versatility.

In addition to superior performance, the fully mechanical Tier 2 engine allows for simple maintenance. Service is further enhanced on the P185 with an exclusive spin on fuel separator that reduces element changes to less than two minutes.

The exterior of the P185 is just as reliable and rugged as the interior, featuring the industry’s largest toolbox for quick, convenient storage, and a bolt-on folding A-frame drawbar for reliable towing. These heavy-duty components are built for the toughest conditions on the jobsite and during transport.

The redesigned C185 delivers affordable power under a virtually indestructible, single-piece canopy that opens to nearly 90 degrees for easy access. A compact design and smaller footprint make the C185 easier to tow for go-anywhere mobility. Corrosion-resistant polymer fenders ensure a longer lifespan of the unit, while a heavy-duty 7-gauge steel frame ensures road-ready running gear and lights.
