Multiquip Debuts New Products at World of Concrete

Multiquip introduced the new Whiteman HTXD5i and STXD6i Ride-on Trowels and Multiquip Mikasa Reversible Plates with COMPAS at World of Concrete. The MQ Whiteman HTXD5i and STXD6i hydraulically driven ride-on power trowels provide outstanding performance and patent-pending cutting edge features. The 55 HP Yanmar 4TNV engines meet EPA Tier 4i Interim standards, while the HTXD5i generates 20 percent more horsepower than previous designs. An electronic governor delivers only the precise amount of fuel required to meet the engine load, resulting in greater fuel efficiency and reduced operating costs.

The HTXD5i attains rotor speeds up to 160 RPM, exerting a greater PSI on the floor to achieve flatter floors and a better final finish. The STXD6i attains rotor speeds up to 130 RPM and twin six-blade rotors make it the preferred choice for high production flatwork. The new Power Management features adjusts hydraulic pump stroke to ensure the unit operates at peak efficiency under all conditions and eliminates engine bogging under a severe load. Cruise control enables operators to electronically lock in preferred rotor speed and reduces operator fatigue. The SmartPitch control enables the operator to synchronize the pitch of both rotors with the touch of a button. A low vibration design includes engine shock mounts that minimize vibration transferred through the frame and helps to extend the life of key components and improve ergonomics. The HTXD5i and the STXD61 also include Multiquip’s proven proportional steering and hydraulic drive systems.

The all new COMPAS compaction analyzing system for the Mikasa MVH306 and MVH406-series reversible plate compactors help contractors improve efficiency and maximize productivity, while avoiding costly over-compaction. A series of LED lights indicates the progress made with each machine pass. As soil density changes, lights illuminate and inform the operator to either make additional passes or stop because optimum soil conditions have been attained for the specific plate compactor. Mikasa reversible plates feature ergonomically designed handles designed to minimize the vibration transferred to the operator. Removable extension plates allow the plate to be adapted for various trench applications. COMPAS units are equipped with Yanmar or Subaru Diesel engines designed to provide dependable service.

Multiquip’s Mikasa MTX70SD is the first rammer to utilize the all-new Subaru ER12 engine. The ER12 is an easy starting, high output engine, designed specifically for rammer applications. An innovative sensor monitors engine oil pressure upon start up and during operation. The engine also provides automatic shutdowns in the event the rammer falls over during operation or is left idling for longer than five minutes. A low oil consumption rate helps minimize service intervals. The MTX70SD also includes features such as cyclonic air cleaners, low vibration handles and combination hour meter/tachometer.
